Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley

Welcome! We're now on day 2, book 2, of my
This is one of my all time favorite series, and I hope you'll give these a read and agree!

At the end of this 8 day CELEBRATION, I'll be giving away 1 ebook copy of any ROCK CHICK book, to 3 winners. Be sure and stop by every day and post a comment to be entered for a chance to win 1 of the 3 copies, your choice, of Kristen Ashley's ROCK CHICK books from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Smashwords.

Open to US residents only.

You must comment on each book review to win!

Jet McAlister has a secret. Eddie Chavez has the hots for Jet (not to mention Eddie’s just plain hot). Jet has too many problems to realize that Eddie’s interested. Eddie loses patience when Jet ends her waitressing shift at a strip club with a knife at her throat. Since Eddie’s a cop, he figures he can help. Since Jet’s used to solving everyone’s problems she doesn’t want Eddie’s help.

Throw in a Dolly Parton look-alike, a gruff but lovable strip club owner, Jet’s ne’er do well father, his ne’er do well friend, Bear, Bear’s long-suffering, chain-smoking wife Lavonne and the crew from Rock Chick and you’ve got Rock Chick Rescue.

Rock Chick Rescue takes you on a wild ride with Jet, Eddie and the gang as they wrestle bad guys in a bagel shop, hit Denver’s backstreet poker tables (with big hair), and help the strippers at Smithie’s take down a would-be murderer.

Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

Re-read Review - August 22-23, 2013

Very few authors can tell a story that has me so caught up that I'm reading every word without skipping a single one, but Kristen Ashley can! And a re-read? Without skipping or skimming?? Nearly unheard of for me! But that's exactly what happened! Hidden Treasure: The first person to type the words "Rock Star" in the comment box will win a $5 Starbucks egift card. US residents only, and you must provide me with an email address to send the card to.

Again, I was giggling my butt off, loving the chance to revisit some of the most amazing women ever - and the Hot Bunch, of course. What I loved most about this book was spending time with Tex and Daisy, two totally amazing people. Secondary characters? They sure as hell don't feel secondary. None of them do! They're ALL fantastic people I've come to adore. This book made me laugh, it made me smile, it had me fanning myself... Such a fun, feel-good story!

Original Review -

Jet McAlister has spent most of her life solving everyone else’s
problems, handling all the hard stuff, taking care of the people she loves who just can’t seem to take care of themselves… and she’s done this even when it meant not taking care of herself. Working as a waitress in a strip club for the extra money to cover her mother’s medical expenses didn’t phase Jet at all, it was just another paycheck to help her help others. But one night after work when she ends up with a knife at her throat in the alley behind the club, wielded by someone looking for her family abandoning, sad excuse for a father, Jet’s friends aren’t about to let her ‘handle’ it herself. Whether she likes it or not, Jet has to answer to her Rock Chick friends and their men… and most definitely to Eddie Chavez who’s had the hots for Jet since the first time he laid eyes on her.

Rock Chick Rescue is the second book in the Rock Chick series and seriously… laugh out loud funny, heart pounding exciting, and break out the fan and ice-water hot. I love, love, LOVE, the entire cast of characters and all the mischief and mayhem they manage to get into even when they’re just sitting around drinking coffee.

If you haven’t yet tried Kristen Ashley’s writing and are wondering where to start, I strongly recommend the Rock Chick series. The heroes are hot and so alpha they make cavemen look like peace activists, and the women… they are funny as all get out, and sometimes it takes them awhile to “clue in,” but they are, in my opinion never, ever too stupid to live.

I am soooooooo looking forward to the next book, and the one after that, and the one after that… I hope this author never stops writing Rock Chick stories.

Rock Chick Reading Order:

2. Rock Chick Rescue

  1. Kristen Ashley always manages to make me laugh, I love her books. I'm Hispanic, and I seriously couldn't stop laughing at the comparisons with Eddie's family and my own. I loved Eddie, but the funny thing is I've never been that attracted to Hispanic men. But, man what I wouldn't give for him to whisper in sweet nothings to me in Spanish!

    1. Yes! She has such a great sense of humor! I adore her stories!!

  2. Thanks for participating, everyone! Since only person person commented all 8 days, the winner of all 3 books is Karina Garcia!
